“Old Town Road” has gone 14x Platinum
Lil Nas X has a great deal to celebrate as his hit single “Old Town Road” becomes the highest certified song ever by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It has earned 14-times platinum status in the U.S., and moved 14 million in equivalent song units.
“OLD TOWN ROAD IS OFFICIALLY 14 TIMES PLATINUM!,” the rapper wrote on social media, Saturday. “MOST PLATINUMS FOR ANY SONG EVER! LETS GOOO!”

He posted a meme of himself in Nancy Pelosi’s office using a photo taken during the US Capitol storming on Wednesday.

Lil Nas X has been on a winning streak since the start. The hit single broke the record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, in 2019. It stayed in the top spot for 19 weeks in total before it was beaten by Billie Eilish’s “bad guy.” He also won a couple of Grammy awards at the 2020 ceremony.
