Slept On Sunday shines a light on the best of what’s slept on in music and culture.
Toronto based artist DijahSB is making more and more waves with each passing day. The pandemic may have been a bump in the road for some, but it does not seem to have hindered her progress one bit. In this month alone, Spotify placed her on a billboard deeming her one of their best new artists. She also received a very flattering comment on one of her posts from none other than the Moon Man himself, Kid Cudi.

She was also featured in Complex Canada, and Hot New Hip Hop; and it now looks like they’re bumping her music all the way in Japan. Things are looking very bright for the young Canadian wordsmith.
While the increasing recognition is exciting, her music is really what pulls you in. Dijah really allows herself to stand out in a crowd by mixing genres and styles in her own way; not being afraid to show her true self. A lot of her songs have the rhythm and pulse of house/dance music, but the lyrical presence and approach of hip-hop.
Her lyrics are genuine and honest. On the first listen, you can tell that she’s not afraid to show all sides of her personality.
On a dime, she’ll bounce between an open conversation about her relationships and anxieties, and taking over the rap game one day at a time. It always works because she’s so easy going and quick-witted at the same time.
Fortunately, she has a solid amount of music to go and discover, including a dope flip of Kanye West’s “I Wonder”. Beyond that, she released two projects last year. And this year she’s already on it with a recent single titled “Throw That Back”
DijahSB is someone to keep an eye on. She is making her presence known around the world and I doubt that she’ll stop anytime soon.
