This is your weekly delivery of new tunes from around the world. From up-and-coming indie talent to well-known major acts, you’ll be kept up to date on quality tracks that you should be listening to.

Dayglow – Something

Dayglow is back with his new single, “Something.” The “Close To You” follow-up illustrates his take on modern life and the world we live in, as we know it.

He states, “I was scrolling through Instagram one day, and I was thinking about how dumb social media gets sometimes, and how materialistic and advertisement driven our culture’s identity statement is becoming. The line ‘if what makes you someone is something, then why can’t I have mine?’ sums that up pretty well.”

His new album Harmony House will drop on on May 21st.

Becky G & Burna Boy – Rotate

It’s party time with Becky G and Burna Boy. “Rotate” is upbeat and ready for the dance floor. You’re going to hear this one at parties and used in different ad campaigns. The song is currently featured in the 2021 Pepsi global football (soccer) campaign “Music Keeps Us Fizzing.”

Becky G states, “Rotate” to me is a celebration. I think it’s evident that futbol holds a special place in my heart and having Burna Boy join me on this made sense because ultimately I wanted to embody the perfect pre-game song that gets the blood flowing, makes you want to dance, and enjoy the sport.”

Starrah – Miss This

Starrah’s “Miss This” song is really fun. It comes through in her performance, but the beat has a great mix of Pop and Trap elements. That lead synth is a winner. Shoutout to Antoine Norwood, Deon Knight, Jr., and Stephen Christopher Norwood on production. It’s a quick listen at 1:42, so run it back a few times and enjoy.

Biddl3 – Stevie

Milwaukee-based artist, Biddl3, releases “Stevie” through Gvngaroo Records distribution. He makes clever references throughout, showing off his skills as a songwriter. This song is produced by Bounce Gvng’s Smart Boy Beatz, Sam Mandell, and myself, Darren Gooden.

Greentea Peng – Nah It Ain’t The Same

Greentea Peng delivers the chill vibes to wind down with. That drum break is killer. You can thank Earbuds for production on this one.
